Here are some pictures and videos of Tundra's with Cold Air Intakes being installed or installed. It will give you an idea of the sound produced with one on and the level of difficulty of installing a kit.
Volant Cold Air Intake
Here is a video of a Volant Cold Air Intake being installed on a 2007 Tundra 5.7L V8. From the music you should be able to tell that it is an easy process. I've have cold air intakes on my trucks in the past it the process usually takes less than an hour.
Here
is a video of that same intake being tested in the truck. It is encouraging that they say there is not any additional noise because in my experience these intakes give a significant noise increase.
