History of the Toyota Landcruiser FJ40

The FJ40 is actually the third generation of Landcruiser. Prior to its production there was the BJ series made from 1950-1955 primarily used as a military vehicle and resembled the Jeep Willys.  In 1955 the 20 series was introduced and was designed to be more civilian friendly with a more powerful engine and nicer interior, meant to increase exports.
